All of our luxury self-catering cottages here at West Coast Cottages are situated within 30 minutes of Oban, the Gateway to the Isles.
Small enough for a family of 3 and large enough to accommodate a multi-generational family.
We also have 3 partially accessible cottages with a sea or loch view so nobody misses out on the fun and the bonding experience.
Our own children grew up here in Lerags Glen, Oban so we know the adventures that there are to be had exploring the safe and natural surroundings. We understand the logistics of bringing together a larger family so if you need help with any arrangements at all, please give us a call and we can talk you through the property we feel is best suited to your family’s needs.
When it comes to adventures and maximising your time, being local gives us the advantage and we have an abundance of information on our ‘Activities and Days Out’ page. Even the most simple of days, is a day spent in the great outdoors; with trails through the hills, miles of local beaches and the many, many attractions and sightseeing opportunities around the area.
The bustling town of Oban is a haven of quirky shops, restaurants and cafés, and of course with direct access to the islands from the Ferry Terminal, your days will be full to the brim of fun family time creating such wonderful lasting memories.
With year-round activities in and around Oban to keep the children happy, why not visit the Sea Life Centre, go walking on nearby Kerrera Island, or take an exciting SeaFari trip on the water to see the dolphins, seals and maybe even a whirlpool!
For the fit family, there are cycle trails to explore the area, including the beautiful new Oban to Fort William coastal cycle path, horse riding, or a choice of two kayak training centres for the whole family to experience.
All of our cottages have an excellent supply of books, DVDs and games if the weather isn’t favourable for your chosen activity and most cottages are within walking distance of a local pub where you will often find a roaring fire and live music.
And of course, how could the children manage these days without Wi-Fi? They don’t need to - all cottages have that as standard (except for Tigh Beg Croft)
Every cottage has BBQ facilities and what better way to take in a West Coast sunset from the alfresco dining area and to get you settled as quickly as possible why not pre-order your shopping for Click and Collect or even Home Delivery to your chosen cottage
In fact, there is actually so much to enjoy as a family here in Oban, a week might not be long enough.
